The misanthropic and antisocial novelist Kiriya is currently in a slump. A gardener named Torai Sotetsu comes to Kiriyas house. Torai's flashy and delinquent looks is the type of person Kiriya has the most problems with. Kiriya takes a brusque attitude towards Torai, but Torai manages to open up the narrow-minded Kiriyas heart with his unfazed attitude.
